Program

On this page, you will find information on the conference structure, a program overview, and a session schedule.

Program elements

Several keynote speakers will highlight the conference theme and provide context for discussion during the panel and conference days.

During break-out sessions, various themes related to ecosystem services will be presented. The themes are often, but not exclusively, related to the ESP Working Groups and National Networks. In each parallel session block, the ID codes of the sessions are listed. To see the session topics and descriptions corresponding to each session ID and the sessions program, you can have a look at the sessions overview page. Each session is led by one or various hosts. Next to the break-out sessions, a poster session will be organised.

To improve the science-policy-business nexus, attendees and external parties are offered the opportunity to exhibit their project, business, product or organisation at the Ecosystem Services marketplace.

Networking is an important aspect of conference participation. Several side-events, like a conference dinner and excursions, will be organised for this purpose. These will enable delegates to get to know each other and to enjoy and learn from the beautiful and interesting surroundings of Wageningen.

On Sunday, before the official kick off, a number of trainings on diverse topics will be hosted. The trainings program will be available on the Trainings page. Trainings will take place at the main conference venue.

The registration desk will be open on Sunday afternoon, so participants can already check in and collect their badge.

The main conference program begins Monday morning. Refreshments during coffee breaks and lunch will be provided during the whole week. A welcome reception will take place on Monday evening, at the main conference venue.

On Wednesday, the session program will end early, so those who wish to join the conference dinner event can be transferred to the dinner locations.

On Friday organised excursions will take place, showcasing Dutch landscapes and landmarks, or projects and initiatives related to the conference theme. Information on the excursion topics and itineraries will be shared later. Registration for excursions will open in September.
