Registration fees and information

Below you can find the information needed regarding the registration. 
The registration form will be accessible from 1st August to 5th November 2023. The Early Bird fee was only applicable until 30th September, 18:00 CLST. If you have missed the Early Bird fee deadline for a valid reason, please contact us at diane.ingabire@fsd.nl.

The conference organising committee puts great effort into making the conference affordable to a wide audience. We always try to keep the fees as low as possible and also give a very high discount to students and delegates from low-income countries, as we are aware that it is difficult to afford the participation.

We also take the membership status into account (as an ESP member, you receive a discount on the conference registration fee. This discount is often higher than the annual membership fee, so we strongly encourage you to become a registered ESP member - Read more here).

If you prefer to pay in cash in pesos, you can select "pay by invoice" in the registration form and inform us at diane.ingabire@fsd.nl. Please keep in mind that the exchange rate at the time of payment will be applied.

We wish to increase local participation. Therefore, if you live or work in Chile and the registration fee still presents an obstacle for you to participate, please contact us at diane.ingabire@fsd.nl.

If you require financial aid, we suggest exploring external grant opportunities. You can find some helpful links to potential sources of conference grants here. If you need an invitation letter to apply for these or other grants, please let us know.

Please note that the onsite registration fee includes a lunch buffet on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Conference fee

The fee includes entry to all conference sessions, welcome reception, tea/coffee and lunch for the on-site participants, and a certificate of attendance. The conference dinner, market place and excursion are charged separately. Travel costs, accommodation, administration and transaction costs are not included in the above-listed conference fees. 

Which fee is applicable to my situation?

• ESP individual members are all those who pay a membership fee to the Ecosystem Services Partnership. ESP members differ from ESP friends, who only receive our monthly Updates. An important ESP membership benefit is a substantial discount on the ESP Conference fee. We will provide a special discount code for the ESP members soon. Students and low-middle-income participants who are ESP members will also receive a special discount code. This discount code should be used in the registration form to select the ESP membership fee. • ESP institutional members are organisations who pay a fee to the Ecosystem Services Partnership. Each organisation is entitled to send two representatives to the ESP Conference for the reduced ESP membership fee. We will provide a special discount code for the ESP members soon. This discount code should be used in the registration form to select the ESP membership fee. Please ensure that your membership is valid and paid in full at the time of the conference. If an organisation wishes to send different representatives than the ones known to us, or if you lost or haven't received the discount code, please contact us.
• Low-middle-income country delegates are citizens of low-income or lower-middle-income economies according to the World Bank classification of Country groups. If you are part of this participant category, you will be asked to provide a copy of your ID upon registration.
• Students must supply a valid student ID or provide a copy of proof of enrollment of their institution upon registration. Student IDs are considered valid when issued by a university and for one of the following academic years 2022/2023, 2023 or 2023/2024.
• Day registrations are available for each conference day, with a maximum per day. Please indicate on which day you would like to participate upon registration. If you are unsure which fee applies to your situation, please contact us.
• Special delegates from organising partners only apply to the conference organising partners' representatives.

Additional Options

Conference dinner

You can add the conference dinner to your registration through the registration form. The information about the conference dinner will be provided soon.

Field trip

Different field trips will be organised. The registration form will enable field trip selection. It is allowed to bring a partner along on the field trip. You can indicate this in the registration form. Check the field trips page for more information.

Group registration

If you wish to register multiple persons at once, please proceed to the registration form and fill in all data of the first person you would like to register. At the bottom of the form, click the right blue button 'Submit and add an extra person'. Please continue this procedure until you submit all information of the persons you would like to register. Once you are done, click the left button 'Register and Pay'. This will generate one invoice for all the participants you have registered.

Day registration

If you only plan to attend one day, we offer the option of day registration. Please select ' Day Registration ' in the Participant category section of the registration form and indicate the day you will attend. If you would like to attend two or more days, at the bottom of the form, click the right blue button 'Submit and add an extra person' and fill out your form again, only changing the day of attendance. Please continue this procedure until you submit all days you would like to attend. Once you are done, click the left button 'Register and Pay'.

CO2 compensation 

The conference organising committee is aware that organizing an international conference affects CO2 emissions. Therefore, we allow you to compensate for your travel by buying CO2 compensation units, €10 for each unit. Please note that this is not an official offset program, but through our conferences, we aim to support local environmental projects. Read more about the selected local project here.
