Nina Kaiser | Umwelt-Campus Birkenfeld, University of Applied Sciences Trier, German

Nina is a research assistant at the Umwelt-Campus Birkenfeld, University of Applied Sciences Trier. Her work explores human-nature interactions and cultural ecosystem services with a focus on restored rivers. She is also interested in biodiversity in the aquatic-terrestrial transition zone and its perception by humans, as well as the application of new assessment technologies (social media, metabarcoding).

Nina is on the board of the German Limnological Society (www.dgl-ev.de) and was on the board of YESS - Young Ecosystem Service Specialists for 3 years. Young ES Specialists (YESS) - Ecosystem Services Partnership (es-partnership.org). Within YESS she is now active as part of the YESS Europe working group.

She is also a mentor for PhD students at the Campus.
